The route from Jhelum
From Jhelum, take the GT Road (N-5) south and cross the Jhelum River bridge into Sarai Alamgir, on the eastern bank. Carry on along the GT Road through Sarai Alamgir and on to Kharian. The drive is usually somewhere around 40 minutes, depending on traffic at the bridge and through Sarai Alamgir. In Kharian, look for Mall of Kharian, which is right on the GT Road.

Why stop in Kharian instead of pushing on
- A break before the long stretch: if you are going on to Gujrat or Lahore, Kharian is a natural halfway point to eat.
